My husband bought a PS4, but once we hooked it up to the TV and tried to turn it on, all of a sudden it will not work…even though he claims it worked before he bought it. It just shows no signal on the TV. I tried to boot it in safe mode and that did work, but when I tried to click change resolution because I thought maybe that was the issue, it restarted itself and then had the same problem. Is it doomed? Anyone else had this issue? How do I fix it? frown

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Lowkey…no…but this one works with the Nintendo switch so I don’t think it’s the cable? Maybe I’m wrong.

Is it the HDMI cable that came with the Switch? Those can be a little screwy with other devices.

No, I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure it’s the HDMI cable that came with our Roku TV that we had before I bought the new TV. Actually, it might be…. I can’t remember. Neither of us can reach of the HDMI on the TV anyways because it’s flush against the wall. Is it worth replacing? I thought all of the HDMI cables were the same?

Why, though? They do the same thing as a new one? frown

In my experience, they can sometimes work intermittently.
