I purchased my new computer in 2022, an Alienware Aurora R13. Maxed out the CPU with an Intel i9, got 64 of the 128 GB RAM capacity (I should have just maxed it out, if I had known RAM would be so ungodly expensive now, luckily I haven't really needed to upgrade just yet). I got this PC so that I could work on my MMORPG game using Unreal Engine. I needed something beefy to handle the maths. Sadly, I don't get the free time I need to sit and develop, since I had to move shortly after I purchased the computer. Toxic ex-roommate/landlady thing.
The only reason I was able to get this computer was by the grace of Dell Credit. I applied on a whim, not expecting anything. They blessed me with $3500. So.. naturally, I opted in! Then all my expenses drastically increased, and maybe luckily? I make under $750 a week, so I don't have to worry about my paychecks being garnished for lack of repayment (Massachusetts law). And for the foreseeable future, it looks like I'll be stuck at my warehouse job, commuting 1.5 hours one way, sucking up all my free time.
Yup, I'm not only crazy, I'm also an irresponsible financial delinquent!
