Does anybody here watch anime? I don't care which branch it is (Shonen, Shoujo, something else entirely...), what's your favorites? And which genre would you classify it (them) in? Who are your favorite characters, dare I ask why?
So, I'll go first-- only because I totally failed to mention this in my intro.
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is my all-time, continuing, probably until the heat-death of the universe favorite anime. Why? The artwork alone is gorgeous, but the music, stellar, a beautiful blend of rock and classical. A healthy mix of magic with science fiction, and a magic system that has logical rules and mechanics to it. But probably the best reason of all? There's so much character potential! We get to watch the characters grow up. From small, not-so-innocent preadolescent to commanding adults, with lots of time gaps for all kinds of adventuring fan-fiction chaos to ensue!
My favorite genre, probably Magical Girl, with Science Fiction a VERY close second.
